So you’re about to go to field camps or an extended geology field trip? You’re in the right spot. Maybe your professor has provided you with a list of geo gear you need to buy or maybe even generously given you some tips on which gear is best for where you’re going. Here is the gear that has been with me and my fellow geologist friends from the snowy cascade mountains to the floridian swamps. Additionally added are geo tools that have been ever so useful in my geology career and are not solely for field camp! Good luck and enjoy the geology!
Field camp gear, for me and I'm sure for just about everyone, was one of my most expensive endeavors and the most fun money I've ever spent. The memories I will never forgot and the tools that I bought (still use today) were well worth it. So get to it.
